Supreme Court Delays Decision On Arvind Kejriwalโ€™s Bail Plea

On Monday, the Supreme Court postponed the hearing on Arvind Kejriwalโ€™s appeal against the Delhi High Courtโ€™s interim order that halted his bail, initially granted by a trial court. The matter is scheduled for June 26. The Enforcement Directorate had contested the trial courtโ€™s bail decision, which the High Court suspended pending further review.

The Defence Minister in his tweet expressed his condolences in a tweet, he said โ€œDeeply anguished by the loss of two Air Warriors due to an accident of IAFโ€™s Mig-21 trainer aircraft near Barmer in Rajasthan.

Rajasthan: Two pilots of the Indian Air Force(IAF) were killed on Thursday evening when an IAF MiG-21 jet crashed during a training sortie in Rajasthanโ€™s Barmer. Visuals from the crash site showed the wreckage in flames, scattered in the area.

The IAF in a statement informed โ€œA twin seater Mig-21 trainer aircraft of the IAF was airborne for a training sortie from Utarlai air base in Rajasthan this evening. Around 9:10 pm, the aircraft met with an accident near Barmer. Both pilots sustained fatal injuriesโ€

โ€œIAF deeply regrets the loss of lives and stands firmly with the bereaved families,โ€ the statement read.

It further said a court of inquiry has been ordered to investigate the cause of the accident. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh spoke to Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari following the crash.

The Defence Minister in his tweet expressed his condolences in a tweet, he said โ€œDeeply anguished by the loss of two Air Warriors due to an accident of IAFโ€™s Mig-21 trainer aircraft near Barmer in Rajasthan. Their service to the nation will never be forgotten. My thoughts are with the bereaved families in this hour of sadness.โ€

 

โ€œNo loss of life among locals was reportedโ€, the Deputy SP said.
