Vinesh Phogat On WFI Row: Our Fight Will Continue, Truth Will Prevail

Wrestler Vinesh Phogat said her fight against the Wrestling Federation of India will continue and hoped “truth will prevail”. Phogat returned to a rousing reception in India on Saturday following her disqualification from the 2024 Paris Olympics as she was found overweight by a few grams. The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) subsequently rejected Phogat’s plea for a shared silver. In 2023, Phogat along with Bajrang Punia and Sakshi Malik had protested on the streets of Delhi, accusing then WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh of sexual harassment of women wrestlers.
