Lucknow: Samajwadi party chief Akhilesh Yadav on January 8, reached the Uttar Pradesh Police headquarters in Lucknow and refused to drink tea offered by police officials. He alleged that what if the tea is poisoned?

He reached the police headquarter in Lucknow in protest against the arrest of the worker as well as the Operator of the Twitter handle of the Samajwadi party, Manish Jagan Agarwal.

In the video, it can be seen that Akhilesh Yadav is saying that he will not drink the tea offered at the headquarters. Further, he asked one of his party workers to bring tea from outside the premises. “I will not drink the tea here. We will bring ours (tea) and will take your cup. What if you poison me? I don’t trust. I will get it from outside.”

Akhilesh Yadav along with his party workers had reached the DGP headquarters unannounced to protest the arrest. Samajwadi Party workers had to face the police as they protested outside the Police Headquarters in Lucknow. They were protesting over the arrest of SP media cell leader Manish Jagan Agarwal, and other party workers.

On January 8 Hazratganj police arrested the operator of the Samajwadi Party media cell Twitter, Manish Jagan Agarwal. He was arrested for making indecent comments targeting different persons from the political arena on social media for quite some time.

The Twitter war between BJP and the Samajwadi Party was going on for some time. Three cases have been registered in Hazratganj Police Station against Manish Jagan Agarwal.

The social media in-charge of BJP Yuva Morcha, Richa Rajput had also filed a case against the Twitter handle of the Samajwadi party on January 4.
