Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Friday slammed a Collector of Telanganaโs Kamareddy district when the latter failed to answer what was the Centre and the Stateโs share of the rice supplied through fair price shops.
The Finance Minister asked collector Jitesh Patil, as to why the picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was missing at the shop, adding that the Centre bears a huge share in the subsidized rice which is being sold to beneficiaries in Telangana at the rate of Rs 1 per kg.
โShe questioned officials about PM Modiโs flex banners not being allowed to be put up at the shop, saying the Union government bears a lionโs share in the subsidized rice which is being sold at Rs 1 in the state to beneficiariesโ, said.
