PM Modi said, “We are seeing that Covid cases are rising in many countries, we need to remain careful and wear masks and wash our hands”
New Delhi: In his last address of Mann Ki Baat for the year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to the citizens to stay calm and careful as there is a spike in covid. He asked everyone to take precautions.
Modi said, “Many people are on a vacation or will go on one during Christmas and New Year I urged them to follow protocols like wearing masks and washing hands to ensure that their enjoyment is not affected adversely by the virus.”
As the world is seeing a spike in Covid cases once again PM Modi expressed concern over the situation. He said, “We are seeing that Covid cases are rising in many countries in the world. We need to remain careful and wear masks and wash our hands.”
PM Modi started his address by saying that this year India completed 75 years of Independence while ‘Amrit Kaal’ began. He said, “The year 2022 was wonderful, India completed 75 years of Independence while ‘Amrit Kaal’ began. India progressed rapidly & became the world’s fifth-largest economy.”
This year India is holding the presidency of G20. Speaking of G20 PM Modi in his address said, “This year, India has also got the responsibility of chairing the G-20 group. I also discussed this in detail last time. In the year 2023, we have to take the enthusiasm of G-20 to new heights; make this event a mass movement.”
As it is Former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s Birth Anniversary today, so remembering the great leader PM said that the Former PM took India to newer heights in every sector including education, foreign policy, and the field of infrastructure.
Speaking of India’s health sector he said, “In the last few years, we overcame various challenges in the health sector. We eradicated smallpox & polio-like diseases from India. Now, Kala Azar disease will also be eradicated. This disease is now only in 4 districts of Bihar & Jharkhand.”

PM Modi also spoke about the Defence sector of India. He said PM said 2022 is the year of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ with the commissioning of the first indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant. India showed strength in Space, Drone, and Defence sectors.
PM Modi further said, “Be it Gujarat’s Madhavpur fair where Rukmini marriage and Lord Krishna’s relationship with the Northeast are celebrated or Kashi-Tamil Sangamam, many colors of unity were seen in these festivals. Along with all this, the year 2022 will be remembered for another reason, that is, the expansion of the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat’. The people of the country celebrated unity and togetherness in many ways.”
