Celebrations have already commenced in the Aam Admi party camp after results for the MCD polls are out. However, the 250 wards civiv body poll has been a tough fight between the incumbent Bhartiya Janata party and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s AAP.
According to Times Now reports, BJP leads in 104 seats, AAP in 133 seats and Congress in 10 seats. Meanwhile, India Today reports show AAP ahead in 133 seats, BJP in 101 seats and Congress in 11 seats at 12:00pm.
However, the exit polls had predicted a contrary scenario.The exit polls had projected an Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) sweep.
As per Axis my India (India today) exit polls, the Aam Aadmi Party was likely to win 149 to 171 wards in the Delhi civic polls, while the BJP looked set to win on 69 to 91 wards. The Congress was not even reaching double digits (three to seven wards), while other political parties may win five to nine wards.
The Times now survey predicted similar numbers.
