The Samajwadi Party has openly told its two allies that they are free to go where they are respected. On Saturday, the Samajwadi Party has issued two letters on social media. One letter has been written to Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party chief Om Prakash Rajbhar and the other to Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (Lohia) president Shivpal Yadav.

It is noteworthy that both the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party and Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (Lohia) had fought the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections together with the Samajwadi Party against the BJP.
However, after the election results, news of a rift in the alliance started coming in. In the recently concluded presidential election, both OP Rajbhar and Shivpal Yadav gave their support to NDA candidate Draupadi Murmu. Akhilesh Yadav, however, had backed joint opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha.
After their support to the NDA candidate, Yogi government has provided Y-category security to Om Prakash Rajbhar. Omprakash Rajbhar had said in his statement earlier that he is waiting for “divorce” from SP.
