180 Phase 6 LS Candidates Face Criminal Charges: ADR Report

A report by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) and the National Election Watch disclosed that among the 866 contestants in phase 6 of the ongoing Lok Sabha polls, 180 (21%) candidates are embroiled in criminal cases, with 141 (16%) facing serious charges. Among major parties, 28 out of 51 (55%) BJP candidates and 8 out of 25 (32%) Congress candidates have criminal records, while all AAP and RJD candidates are similarly entangled.
