Gurugram | Veteran Congress leader and Former President Pranab Mukherjee on Sunday participated in a program hosted by BJP government in Gurugram after sharing the platform with RSS at their Nagpur headquarters in June.
Pranab Mukherjee along with Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today inaugurated various projects under Smart Village Project in Harchandpur and Nayagaon of Gurugram. Mukherjee who earlier visited Harchandpur on 2nd June 2017 after adopting the village during his tenure as the President of India.

In the last few days, there were rumours that ‘Pranab Mukherjee Foundation’ in Haryana will be working together with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). However, Pranab Mukherjee’s office issued a statement which denied such rumours. In an issued Statement Mukherjee’s office said, “There have been reports in certain sections of the media suggesting that the Pranab Mukherjee Foundation (PMF) may collaborate with RSS in Haryana. It is categorically clarified that there is neither any existing collaboration nor is there any such move in the offing.”

Earlier in June, Mukherjee faced criticism from many Congress leaders after he attended a program hosted by the political ideologue RSS as a chief guest in Nagpur. In his speech at the event, the former president has coined his views on nation, nationalism and patriotism.
