New Delhi | Congress Leader Mallikarjun Kharge on Monday accused the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) of encouraging the acts of mob lynching while responding to the Alwar mob lynching and said that government doesn’t want the situation to improve.
“The government is encouraging such incidents in the country. This government does not want the situation in the country to improve. We will raise the issue in the Parliament today,” Kharge told media.
All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen leader, Asaduddin Owaisi while commenting on the allegations against the Rajasthan Police for delaying the victims transfer to the Hospital said, he was not surprised by their actions, adding that the ‘Gau Rakshaks’ and the Police were in cahoots with each other.
“Rajasthan police’s actions are not a surprise to me; they did the same in the Pehlu Khan murder case. Rajasthan police is supporting cow vigilantes. These Gau Rakshaks and police are in this together,” Owaisi told media.
Congress President Rahul Gandhi also attacked Pm Modi and questioned the actions of Police in the case, “Policemen in #Alwar took 3 hrs to get a dying Rakbar Khan, the victim of a lynch mob, to a hospital just 6 KM away. Why? They took a tea-break enroute,” Gandhi tweeted.
