Amit Shah Says ‘Hate Speeches May Have Cost BJP In Delhi Elections’

HM Amit Shah has also said that Slogans like ‘Goli Maaro’ and ‘India-Pakistan’ may have cost the BJP Delhi elections.

Delhi| Home Minister Amit Shah, speaking at an event organised by Times Now said that the hate speeches and slogans that were raised during the campaign by BJP leaders may have cost his party the elections. He said slogans such as ‘Goli Maaro’ and ‘India-Pakistan’ Shouldn’t have been made by the BJP leaders.

The BJP may have suffered in the elections because of hate statements made by party leaders, he said.

Also speaking on the normalcy in Jammu and Kashmir, he said that all political leaders are free to go and visit Kashmir. “They tried to go once and were stopped. They never tried again”, he said.

The statement comes in when a foreign delegation is on a visit to Kashmir. Opposition since then has been questioning government over why they aren’t allowed to visit Kashmir.
