According to sources, after a lot of rigorous discussions, the NDA allies in Bihar have reached a consensus over seat-sharing.
Patna| The seat-sharing on all the 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar NDA has been announced. Earlier it was declared that both BJP and JDU will contest 17 seats each. Lokjanashakti Party will contest on 6 seats. This information was given in the NDA leaders’ press conference at JDU’s office in Patna. In the 2014 elections, BJP had won 31 seats, while JDU had won 2 seats.
According to sources, after a lot of rigorous discussions, the NDA allies in Bihar have reached a consensus over seat-sharing. BJP President Amit Shah held several meetings with JDU and LJP leaders to resolve the issue.
The seat sharing between NDA allies is as follows:
JD(U) – Sitamarhi, Kishanganj, Katihar, Madhepura, Siwan, Munger, Jehanabad, Gaya, Supaul, Gopalganj, Banka, Jhansarpur, Bhagalpur, Purnia, Karakat and Nalanda.
BJP – West Champaran, East Champaran, Madhubani, Araria, Muzaffarpur, Begusarai, Patna Sahib, Sasaram, Buxar, Darbhanga, Pataliputra, Maharajganj, Ara, Saran, Ujayarpur, Aurangabad.
LJP– Vaishali, Hajipur, Samastipur, Khagaria, Jamui, Nawada
The parliamentary constituency of Navada has been allotted to Ram Vilas Paswan led LJP. Currently, BJP leader and Union Minister Giriraj Singh is the Member of parliament from Navada. However, the seat-sharing has raised a question on his recontest.
