New Delhi| After claiming “internet existed during Mahabharat era” and controversial remark on Beauty Pagent winner Diana Hayden, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb is back with another controversial statement. On Sunday, he said that setting up industries take crores. However, cows can ensure earning within 6 months.
Biplab Deb also informed that the Tripura government will be launching a scheme to distribute cows to 5000 families to fight the malnutrition and generate employment. He said that the bank loans will be facilitated for the beneficiaries and interest on such loans will be paid by the state government.
Talking at the executive meeting to announce the decision of the state government he compared the capital required for the industries and cow-milking business. He said, “One has to invest Rs 10,000 crore for employing 2000 people”, giving 10,000 cows to 5,000 families will help people start earning in “6 months”.
