BJP doesn’t need allies anymore: Shiv Sena

Mumbai: Shiv Sena Chief Udhav Thackeray on Thursday slammed the BJP, saying that it doesn’t need its friends and allies anymore.

Udhav Thackrey thanked the Palghar voters for the mandate, saying “He had half minds before contesting the Palghar polls.”

The Shiv Sena Chief alleged Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and BJP leader Yogi Aditynath of insulting Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. While taking a swipe at Yogi Aditynath he said “UP voters have taught a lesson to Yogi.”

“Yogi Adityanath is losing in his own state & he is coming to campaign here (Maharashtra). Janta ne Yogi ji ki masti utaardi hai.” he added.

Attacking the Bhartiya Janta Party, he said “The BJP has lost its majority in 4 years.”

He also raised a question about the EVM malfunctioning in the bypolls. He further added that “Seeing the corruption in Election Commission, I would suggest that even election commissioners should not be appointed, but elected.”

BJP’s Rajendra Gavit today defeated Shiv Sena Candidate Shrinivas Vanga, son of late BJP MP Chintam Vanga by 29,572 votes.
