Patna: Taking a jibe at Kartik Kumarโ€™s resignation BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi on Thursday said that โ€œThis was the first wicket, many such will fall in the coming time.โ€™

Sushil Modi allegedly said that Kartik Kumar had an arrest warrant and still he took oath as Law minister under Lalu Yadavโ€™s presence. โ€œKartik Kumar resigned last night, he had an arrest warrant against him. Instead of surrendering he took the oath of office & was made law minister under Lalu Yadavโ€™s pressure. This was the first wicket, many such will fall in the coming timeโ€ BJP leader said.
Earlier, Bihar Governor Phagu Chauhan accepted the resignation of Bihar Minister Kartikeya Singh, who was moved from the Ministry of Law to be the Sugarcane Industry Minister of the state.

Singh has an outstanding arrest warrant against him in a kidnapping case for which he was granted interim protection till September 1 by a Danapur court.
After reports of a warrant against Kartikeya Singh emerged, the Bihar BJP on August 17 demanded the Nitish Kumar government show courage and sack the minister with immediate effect.

The Additional charge of the Sugarcane Industries Department has been given to Revenue and Land Reforms Minister Alok Kumar Mehta, as Singh is no longer a member of the Council of Ministers.

42 more leaders left congress after gulam nabi azad
On Wednesday also 42 leaders left the party. All these leaders say that they will join the newly formed party of Ghulam Nabi Azad.

Mumbai: People who supported Gulam Nabi Azad are still abandoning the party after he left Congress. Tuesday saw the resignation of 65 party officials who backed Gulam Nabi Azad. Following this, 42 leaders left the party on Wednesday as well. All of these leaders declare that they will join Gulam Nabi Azadโ€™s newly established party. This has resulted in the resignation of more than 100 party officials in support of Gulam Nabi Azad. Among these figures is Tara Chand, a former deputy chief minister.

There are numerous rumours that Gulam Nabi Azadโ€™s party may run for all 90 seats in Jammu and Kashmir next year. The rally for Gulam Nabi Azad will take place at Sainik Farms in Jammu, but before that, the party faces difficulty in trying to hold onto its support in the Union Territory given the resignation rates of Congressmen. Please be informed that Gulam Nabi Azad left the party following a vicious attack on Rahul Gandhi. Azad claimed that the moment Rahul Gandhi entered politics, the entire Congress structure broke down.

The formation of Gulam Nabi Azadโ€™s party has been given more priority. On September 4, he is set to speak at a rally in Jammu. His first public appearance since leaving Congress will be at this event. It is anticipated that he would introduce his party during this gathering. The crucial detail is that Rahul Gandhi would speak at the Delhi rally โ€œMehangai Par Halla Bolโ€ on September 4. Congressโ€™s protest will be impacted by Gulam Nabi Azadโ€™s programme. After resigning, Azad stated that this was just the beginning. This is understood to indicate that his side may intensify its attacks on Congress in the days to come.

Even outside of Jammu and Kashmir, the party may see tension in the days to come as a result of Azadโ€™s uprising. Veteran Congressmen like Anand Sharma and Bhupinder Singh Hooda met Azad on Tuesday in Delhi. There are speculations that these leaders may also deal the Congress some setbacks in the days to come in such a situation. The purpose of this letter is to let you know that Anand Sharma has resigned as president of the Himachal Pradesh Campaign Committee. He said that no inquiries about the stateโ€™s election preparations had been made to him. This task was assigned to him without any discussion.
