BJP MLA challenged Raut to show how much representation his party has given to Dalits

New Delhi: BJP MLA Ram Satpute lashed out at Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut for criticising PM Narendra Modi by giving reference of how he washed legs of Schedule Cast person in the past. Ram Satpute said, “Raut and his party can’t believe the way BJP is getting response in Uttar Pradesh from all section of society across all casts and religions, there is no need to teach BJP about issues related to schedule cast people.”

Satpute stated that BJP is the party which never lie to people, it doesn’t do things just to show people, BJP leader and PM of India Narendra Modi have always given equal opportunity to all and that is why BJP is getting good support in UP.

“I must say this that BJP has more schedule cast MPs than Sanjay Raut’s party has got MLAs , so we do what we preach.” said Satpute. Further he added “Raut should not do things just to make Congress happy, I throw open the challenge to Sanjay Raut , he should show how much representation his party has given to Schedule cast?”

Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi remarked on Tuesday, in response to raids at his relative Bhupinder Singh Honey’s home, that “the same thing happened during the West Bengal polls, it is to put pressure on me in light of the approaching Assembly polls.”

“They are targetting me and trying to put pressure on me in view of upcoming Assembly polls. This is not good for democracy. We are ready to fight this. The same thing happened during West Bengal elections,” Mr Channi said.

Earlier in the day, the Enforcement Directorate conducted raids at nearly a dozen places in Punjab in connection with an alleged illegal sand mining case.

The federal agency searched the residence and office premises of the suspects that include premises linked to sand mafia Bhupinder Singh Honey.

According to Enforcement Directorate officials, Mr Honey is reportedly a relative of Mr Channi and had allegedly floated a firm named Punjab Realtors to get sand mining contracts.
