BJP Plans To form Govt In Nepal and Sri Lanka Too: Tripura CM Biplab Deb

Biplab Deb said that Amit Shah, who was then BJP President, had told him about a plan to win in ‘foreign countries’ after winning in all the states of India during a meeting.

Agartala| Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb has once again stoked controversy with his statement. At a BJP function in the state capital Agartala, Biplab Deb said that his party plans to form government not only in India but also in neighbouring countries. Biplab Deb said that Home Minister Amit Shah has plans to form governments in Nepal and Sri Lanka as well.

According to NDTV news, Biplab Deb was sharing the conversation he had with former party president Amit Shah during the program. The conversation between the two took place during the Tripura assembly elections held in 2018. In this election, the BJP formed the government by defeating the Left in Tripura.

Biplab Deb said that Amit Shah, who was then BJP President, had told him about a plan to win in ‘foreign countries’ after winning in all the states of India during a meeting.

Biplab Deb said, “We were talking in the state guesthouse when Ajay Jamwal (Northeast Zonal Secretary of BJP) said that BJP has formed government in many states. In response, Amit Shah said that now Sri Lanka and Nepal are left. We have to expand the party in Nepal and Sri Lanka and win to form the government there.”

Biplab Deb praised Amit Shah’s leadership. He also said that BJP will soon change the trend of transfer of power between Congress and Left in Kerala and will also win in southern states.

Tripura CM Biplab Deb has often been in the limelight by making unflattering statements. Earlier in the year 2018 itself, he had said that Internet and satellite communication were also present during the Mahabharata. He was quite trolled about his statement.
