“BJP Won’t Allow Religion Based Reservation”: HM Amit Shah

BJP

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, while addressing a rally in poll-bound Jharkhand, said: “As long as the Bharatiya Janata Party is present in the country, the religion-based minorities will not get a reservation.”
Shah further claimed that Congress wants to give reservations to Muslims by decreasing the reservation limit of OBCs, Dalits and tribal.

“Rahul Gandhi shows a copy of the Constitution. He was exposed two days back. Someone got a copy of the Constitution he has shown. The Constitution of India was written on the cover of that copy, which was void of any content….Don’t mock the Constitution. It is a question of faith and trust. You have insulted B R Ambedkar and the Constituent Assembly by waving a fake copy of the Constitution. The Congress party has made the Constitution a mockery,” Shah said.

Further hitting out at the Congress, HM Shah said: ” The Congress party talks about reservation. There is no provision for reservation on the basis of religion in the Constitution. We can never give reservation to any particular religion. In Maharashtra, a group of Ulemas gave them (Congress) a memorandum that Muslims should be given 10 per cent reservation, and the state chief of the Congress party said we would help you in this.”

He further said: “I have come to ask the people of Jharkhand that if Muslims get 10 per cent reservation then whose reservation will be reduced? The reservation of backward classes, Dalits and tribals will be reduced. I want to warn Rahul Gandhi from here. Rahul Baba, whatever conspiracy you have in your mind, as long as the Bharatiya Janata Party is there, minorities will not get reservations in this country.”
