Bombay HC Directs ECI To Immediately Hold Bye-Poll For Pune Lok Sabha seat

The Bombay High Court on Wednesday directed the Election Commission of India to immediately hold bye-polls in the Pune Lok Sabha constituency, which has been vacant since March after the demise of MP Girish Bapat, reported The Scroll.

The bench comprising of Justices GS Patel and Kamal Khata quashed the certificate issued by the Election Commission not to hold the bye-election for the vacant seat.
