Akhilesh Yadav said, “Those people who speak of snakes and moles stay silent in the assembly and have seen them crying sometimes on TV. You know it very well, how they do this.”
As the stage for Gorakhpur Lok Sabha seat bypoll elections gets ready, the Samajwadi party which has extended support to its arch rival Bahujan Samajwadi Party has started to gear up. On Wednesday, Akhilesh Yadav who was in Gorakhpur to campaign for SP’s candidate Sanjay Nishad assured the people that his party would keep all the promises it makes if it is voted back to power in 2022.
The former Chief Minister of the state also took a dig at Modi government for not fulfilling its promise of depositing 15 lakh in every Indian’s account. Akhilesh Yadav said, “I want to know how many Indians received 15 lakhs in their accounts?” He further said that if BJP can make a promise of 15 lakhs then Samajwadi Party is promising to give 30 lakhs to everyone. He also criticized BJP’s failure to curb black money.
Akhilesh Yadav also talked about the death of children in Gorakhpur’s BRD Medical college and hospital. Last year, a number of infants died due to lack of oxygen supply in the BRD Hospital. The news drew national attention after the reports came to the light. The state government had claimed that a strict action was taken against the then college principal, in-charge of the particular ward and other staff.
Akhilesh Yadav ensured that if SP is voted back to power, they will conduct a fresh inquiry into the matter. He also alleged that post-mortem of these bodies were not conducted. In an effort to lure the senior citizens Akhilesh Yadav promised Rs. 2000 as pension to poor under the Samajwadi Pension Scheme women.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had called the pre-bypoll alliance “unnatural” and an alliance between a snake and mole. Hitting back at Yogi Aditynath, Akhilesh Yadav recalled the incidence in 2007 where he had cried in the parliament alleging conspiracy against him. Akhilesh said, “Those people who speak of snakes and moles stay silent in the assembly and have seen them crying sometimes on TV. You know it very well, how they do this.”
Several parties have joined hands for Gorakhpur and Phulpur Loksabha bypoll to be held in March. BSP, Peace Party, Nishad Party, CPI(M), NCP, and RLD have extended support to the SP nominee Sanjay Nishad.
