CM Rao’s intervention helps farmer in Telangana

KCR

Hyderabad | The complaint of a farmer in Mancherial district of Telangana about a mistake in records over ownership of lands was resolved on Wednesday following the intervention of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

A farmer at a village in Nennel mandal had two ‘khatas’ (khata is like an account number), official sources said.

In the process of merging the two, one survey number was mistakenly mentioned in the name of others.

This led to the other person benefiting from government schemes also, they said.

The farmer, who faced the trouble due to the mistake, reportedly posted the matter on social media.

On learning about it, Rao spoke to him, TRS sources said.

Some Television channels also aired the telephonic conversation of Rao with the farmer.

Rao spoke to district Collector Bharati Hollikeri, who inquired into the matter.

She told PTI that the land was being restored to the rightful owner and action was being taken against those who made the mistake.

The farmer had earlier approached the district administration and the process to address the issue had been initiated, she said.
