Mumbai: On Thursday despite the reported disagreement over the inclusion of the term “secular” in the common minimum program (CMP), the Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi promised to uphold the secular values as enshrined in the Constitution.
The ShivSena reportedly had concerns that it could alienate its Hindutva vote bank, but “secular” appears twice in the preamble of the CMP itself. The document was released just hours before Sena President Uddhav Thackeray is sworn in as the chief minister of Maharashtra.
The ShivSena has persuaded the Congress to agree not to mention the term “secular” in a common minimum program (CMP) worked out with their alliance partner in Maharashtra, the NCP.
The coalition’s leader combines ShivSena supremo Uddhav Thackeray will be taking oath as chief minister this evening at Mumbai’s iconic Shivaji Park.

Addressing the media leaders of ShivSena, Congress, and NCP over the coalition’s common minimum program. The ‘Common Minimum Program of Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress ‘ promises an immediate loan waiver for farmers.
According to reports, the Maha Vikas Aghadi’s common minimum program focusses on farmers, jobs, women’s safety and 80 percent reservation for locals.

We will ensure justice for farmers and small and medium businesses. Framers must feel confident that this government belongs to them. This program has been created under the guidance of Uddhav Thackeray, Sharad Pawar, and Sonia Gandhi.
Shinde said Will have a stable government in the state. We have a number of seats than what is required for the majority. The economy is ailing. Farmers are also facing problems. So, we will focus on the needs of the common man. farmers, education and jobs.
Asked if farm loans will be waived, NCP’s Jayant Patil has said, “This is something that we promised in our manifesto. So, once the government is formed, we will take the necessary steps.”
Jayant Patil said Our government is committed to ensuring that commuters in Mumbai are able to use the metro rail facility soon. We will not do anything that creates inconvenience for commuters in Mumbai.
Farm loan waiver was a common promise made by all three parties. We will do that.
Asked if the Maha Vikas Aghadi will support the Nanar refinery and the bullet train projects, ShivSena’s Eknath Shinde said, “We have taken a decision on these issues. But, please let the government be formed. We will do what has been decided.”
