Lucknow| Days after the Sonbhadra shootout rocked the country, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid a visit to the village. After his visit, he addressed the media. Yogi Adityanath pinned the blame of the Sonbhadra incident on past Congress governments. He said, “The Congress and Samajwadi Party should apologize for the Sonbhadra incident.”
Yogi Adityanath reached Sonbhadar at 11.15 am on Sunday morning. Then he left for Ghorwal by another helicopter from Mypurpur helipad. Meanwhile, BJP’s state president Mr Swatantra Singh was also with the CM.
At around 12 am, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached the primary school of Ubhabha village and met the relatives of the victims at 12.21 pm. Besides, a check of 50-50 thousand rupees was given to relatives of 21 injured in the shootout. At about one o’clock, the Yogi reached the place of Ubhabha Bhabha where the firing took place.
Meeting the Victims of the Massacre:
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met the victims of the massacre and gave his condolences. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was accompanied by BJP State President, Swatantra Dev Singh, Chief Secretary Dr. Anup Chandra Pandey and DGP OP Singh. At around 2 am, he went to the district hospital and met the injured and their families.
Every possible help of victims:
Talking to media, Yogi Adityanath said, “Govt has ordered the suspension of police personnel responsible for the incident. I have ordered to provide compensation of ₹18.5 lakh to kin of the deceased and ₹2.5 lakh to the injured.”
