Goa | The President of Goa Pradesh Congress Committee, Girish Chodankar has claimed he has written a letter to President Ram Nath Kovind, asking for an enhanced security cover for Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar as there is a possible threat to him due to the Rafale deal papers.
On Tuesday, Congress alleged in the Lok Sabha that Vishwajeet Rane, Goa’s Health Minister has the knowledge of the entire Rafale deal and has said that Manohar Parrikar affirms to have all the papers relating to the deal that processed between the government and Dassault Aviation, the French aircraft company. All of this interaction is recorded in an audio clip, which BJP accuses is doctored.
In the letter, it says that “He is adequately protected from all possible apprehended threats and that he may be able to reveal the files to the Nation without any fear or favor before possible threats to his life or the files are destroyed”
The letter further says,” The security and defence of the country cannot be allowed to be compromised in the bedrooms”
