New Delhi | Former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kapil Mishra joined BJP on Saturday in the party office in Pant Marg, along with AAP women’s wing chief Richa Pandey.
He joined the saffron party in the presence of BJP leaders Manoj Tiwari and Vijay Goel.
“I welcome Kapil Mishra and Richa Pandey into BJP and hope they will serve Delhi by following the policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and philosophy of Deen Dayal Upadhyay and Syama Prasad Mookerjee,” Manoj Tiwari said.
Kapil Mishra was recently disqualified from the Delhi assembly under the anti-defection law after he was spotted campaigning for the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections in May.
He has challenged his disqualification in Delhi High Court.
