Ex-Calcutta High Court Judge Abhijit Gangopadhyay Joins BJP

Former Calcutta High Court judge Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay joined the Bharatiya Janata Party as the Lok Sabha elections drew near. Speaking to news agency ANI after joining, he appreciated the warm welcome and emphasized the need to combat corruption. Regarding the Sandeshkhali incident, he condemned the obstruction faced by state leaders and affirmed the BJPโ€™s commitment to supporting oppressed individuals in the region.

Maoists Kill Another BJP Member In Chhattisgarh

On Wednesday evening in Chhattisgarhโ€™s Bijapur district, Maoists killed Kailash Nag, a 40-year-old BJP worker and contractor, while also setting fire to his JCB machine. This marks the ninth BJP member murdered by Maoists since last year and the second this year in the state. Nag becomes the fourth BJP worker from Bijapur district to be slain by Maoists.
