New Delhi | CBI arrested former Finance Minister P Chidambaram on Wednesday night following high drama events at his Jor Bagh residence.
Chidambaram was arrested on charges of aiding son Karti Chidambaram in money laundering in the INX Medi case.
Following the arrest, the Former Home Minister had spent the night in the main CBI headquarters in Delhi’s Lodhi Road region.
Fate has it, that the same building was inaugurated by Mr Chidambaram in 2011 when he was the Home Minister in the UPA government, under PM Manmohan Singh.
Chidambaram had served as the Union Home Minister from November 2008 to July 2012, and was one of the key guests at the inauguration event of the CBI headquarters, held on June 30, 2011.

He will be produced before a CBI court today at Rouse Avenue today.
