FIR lodged against Rahul Gandhi for his Yoga Day ‘dog’ tweet

Mumbai | A lawyer Atal Bihari Dubey has filed a complaint against Congress President Rahul Gandhi in Azad Maidan police station, over his International Yoga Day tweet.

Congress President on Friday had mocked the Indian army for sharing a photograph which showed the army personnel doing Yoga along with dogs.

“New India,” Gandhi captioned his tweet, a not-so-subtle sarcastic reference to one of the Narendra Modi government’s popular slogans.

The grand old party chief received a lot of criticism from opponents, including BJP Chief Amit Shah who accused Congress of “standing for negativity”.

However, this is not the first time Gandhi has been in trouble over his statements.
