Srinagar | Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Friday warned the BJP led Central government saying,”If Delhi tries to break the PDP the results will be exceedingly dangerous.”
Mufti while speaking Media said,”If Delhi tries to create divisions and interfere like that then I think just like a Salahuddin and a Yasin Malik were born in 1987…if it tries to break the PDP then the outcome will be dangerous”. Mufti warned BJP that any attempt to engineer defections in her party “would erode the trust of the Kashmiris in Indian democracy.”

Mehbooba Mufti was refering to the reports of splits in the PDP and BJP trying to form a government with rebel PDP MLA after the BJP withdrew its support from the Mehbooba government in Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier several PDP leaders have accused the BJP of staying in touch with its leaders after Governor’s Rule was implemented in the state. At least 21 PDP legislators have met Mehbooba Mufti since Saturday and pledged their support to her.
