After the Congress party’s unexpected loss in the Haryana elections, the INDIA bloc partners have Criticised the Grand Old Party. Maharashtra’s Shiv Sena (UBT), who has been adamant about having a CM face ahead of the assembly polls in the state, has said the Congress “turned a winning inning into a defeat”. “No INDIA alliance in Haryana… Congress leaders were overconfident. Samajwadi Party or AAP could have been accommodated, and the results would have been different,” UBT MP Sanjay Raut said.
AAP MP Raghav Chadha poetically jibed at the Congress. AAP and Congress had held talks of pre-poll alliance. However, things could not reach a consensus.
“If you had cared about my wishes, it would have been a different matter; if you had taken care of our desires, it would have been a different evening. Today, he too must be regretting leaving me; if we had walked together, it would have been something else,” the AAP leader said on X.

हमारी हसरत का ख्याल रखते तो एक अलग शाम होतीआज वो भी पछता रहा होगा मेरा साथ छोड़कर,

TMC Rajya Sabha MP Saket Gokhale on his X account said: “This attitude leads to electoral losses – “if we feel we’re winning, we will not accommodate any regional party – but in states where we’re down, regional parties must accommodate us Arrogance, entitlement, & looking down on regional parties is a recipe for disaster. Meanwhile, Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party (SP) has announced six candidates for the ensuing by-elections for 10 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh. Reports suggest that the Congress had demanded 5 seats from its INDIA bloc ally.
