Last 2 All-Party meetings were chaired by Rajnath Singh
This will be the third all-party meeting in 6 years on the issue of security of the country’s borders. After the terrorist attack in Pulwama last year, on February 16, 2019, all parties met. Earlier, the meeting was convened on September 29, 2016, after a surgical strike in PoK. Both these meetings were chaired by the then Home Minister Rajnath Singh. But Modi himself will preside over the meeting on the issue of China.
On June 17, two days after the violent face-off in which 20 Indian soldiers were martyred, Modi said, “We want peace, but if someone instigates, we are also able to respond.”
