“Not US and other western countries, but the internet was invented by India lakhs of years ago, ” said Deb who was addressing a gathering on Public Distribution System (PDS). He added, “Many may decline the fact, but if the internet was not there, how Sanjay, could see the war in Kurukshetra and describe it to Dhritarashtra? It means internet was there, the satellites and that technology was there in this country at that time. ”
Further boasting about the Indian talent he said that the countries that claim to be technologically advanced are hiring Indian Talent for software mechanism.” I am proud to be born in such a country, ” asserted Deb.
His statement has come at a time when Union Minister Satyapal Singh said that Darwin’s evolution theory is wrong and needs to be changed in the curriculum. Earlier, Science and Technology Minister Harsh Vardhan had also claimed that cosmologist Stephen Hawking, agreed that the Vedas have a theory that is superior to Albert Einstein’s equation e=mc^2 that sums up the theory of special relativity.
