Jaya Prada booked for giving a ‘warning’ to Mayawati against Azam Khan

Lucknow | A case has been registered against BJP leader Jaya Prada for her comments involving SP Leader and opponent Azam Khan and BSP chief Mayawati.

Addressing a rally in Rampur, Jaya Prada said,”Considering the comments Azam Khan makes against me, Mayawati ji you must think “unki X-ray jaisi aankhein aapke upar bhi kaha-kaha daal kar dekhengi”, the BJP leader had said in Kemri on April 18.

A non-cognizable offence information report was registered for poll code violation against Jaya Prada following this comment.

Earlier, SP leader Azam Khan, who is directly contesting against the former SP leader Jaya Prada was under EC radar for making inappropriate comments against the later. He invoked a controversy by allegedly talking about the colour of her underwear.

Last week, BSP chief Mayawati and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath both faced bans from campaigning for including talking to and about Muslims in their rally speech.

Jaya Prada is contesting from Rampur constituency in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.

Uttar Pradesh will go in all the seven phases of voting, the third phase being on April 23.

The results of the counting will be declared on May 23.
