Rajinikanth who announced his plans to take up political endeavours in the state of Tamil Nadu on the last day of 2017, has even come under fire for not actively participating in protests over the Cauvery issue. He was even missing from the protests organized by the film industry on the same issue. However, he had recently expressed that he was disappointed with the Supreme Court verdict reducing the quantum of water to Tamil Nadu.
The Apex Court had also asked the Centre to set up a Cauvery Management Board to ensure the release of the allotted amount of water to the state. Talking about it, Kamal Haasan said, “Centre must set up the board immediately.”
