Kamala Harris Dismisses Trump’s Remarks On Her Racial Identity

In her first major interview since launching her presidential campaign, Kamala Harris brushed off Donald Trump’s comments about her racial identity, describing them as “the same old tired playbook.” When asked about Trump’s claim that she had “turned Black” for political purposes, Harris responded to CNN’s Dana Bash with, “Next question, please.” Harris is the first female, Black, and Asian American Vice President of the U.S., born to an Indian mother and a Jamaican father.
