“Keen to see Amit Shah’s skills in Maharashtra,” Sharad Pawar on question posed by HW News

Replying to a question posed by HW News, Sharad Pawar said that he is keen to see the skills of Amit Shah who is known for rescuing BJP in tricky situations.

New Delhi| NCP Supremo Sharad Pawar on Wednesday said that he would like to see the “skills” of BJP President Amit Shah in Maharashtra. His comment comes in the light of deadlock over government formation in Maharashtra.

Pawar held a press conference in Mumbai on Wednesday. He said that the BJP and the ShivSena have received a mandate and they should form the government. Putting to rest all the speculations of him allying with ShivSena, the senior leader said, “We have got the mandate to sit in opposition. I have been Chief Minister four times. It has no desire anymore.”

Ahead of the press conference, ShivSena leader Sanjay Raut met Pawar at his residence. When asked about what the two leaders talked about, Pawar said that Raut showed him the list of 170 MLAs who are supporting ShivSena. Pawar said, “He is showing a list of 170 MLAs, but I do not know how he achieved this figure.”

The Maharashtra Assembly Elections results came out on October 24. But more than 12 days later, the allies ShivSena and BJP have not staked claim to form government despite winning the majority. Surprisingly, even BJP President Amit Shah who is seen as ‘Chanakya’ has not looked into the matter.

When HW News asked Pawar about it, he replied that Amit Shah is known for his skills to form the government in states where the BJP doesn’t always have numbers. “I’m keen to see his skills in Maharashtra,” Pawar said.
