Lalu Yadav stressed as Tej Pratap refuses to return home until family approves divorce

Reportedly, Lalu Yadav tried to dissuade Tej Pratap against divorcing his wife in a meeting that lasted for over two hours.

Patna| The decision of divorce by RJD leader Tej Pratap Yadav has stressed the former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav. The jailed RJD patron is reportedly disturbed following his elder son Tej Pratap’s plan of divorce.

Currently, Lalu Yadav is undergoing treatment at the Rajendra Institute of Medical Science (RIMS) for various ailments. The doctors at the hospital said that stress may prove fatal for Lalu Yadav in this condition.

Tej Pratap had paid a visit to his father in Ranchi regarding his decision to divorce his wife Aishwarya Rai. Reportedly, Lalu Prasad tried to dissuade Tej Pratap against divorcing his wife. The meeting lasted for over two hours.

Aishwarya is a daughter of RJD leader Chandrika Rai and granddaughter of former CM of Bihar, Daroga Rai. Tej Pratap and Aishwarya got married six months ago. However, two days ago, he announced his decision to divorce his wife on the grounds of compatibility issues.

Reportedly, the Yadav family is not very happy with his decision. Even his mother, Rabri Devi hasn’t approved of the divorce. Sources said that he was upset and angry after his family including his mother, did not support him.

However, the sources refuted the reports that he had gone missing. “Tej Pratap, who is a deeply religious man, went to Varanasi to get some peace after he announced his decision to the media,” said a source talking to a news agency.

However, Tej Pratap today said that he will not be returning home until his family approves of his decision.

He filed for divorce at the Patna High Court on November 2.
