MUMBAI| On Monday National Congress Party Leader and Maharashtra Cabinet Minister Nawab Malik criticizes Uttar Pradesh government for not accepting migrants. Nawab Malik made Major charges against UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath.
State Minister Nawab Malik while talking on migrants said, “In Maharashtra, specifically in Mumbai, there are about 25-30 Lakhs of migrant workers. Due to Nationwide lockdown previously we were not allowed to leave anyone but now it’s not the state. Now due to relaxation on some extent migrants are allowed to move but UP government is creating unnecessary hurdles.”
“Other state governments are accepting the migrant labours but Yogi Government is demanding the COVID-19 test of all the labourers to be done by Maharashtra Government to allow them to enter into Uttar Pradesh,” Malik said.
Malik further added testing all of the labourers will take one to one and a half year. Yogi government is needlessly causing problems. Following the other states, UP Government should also accept the state government demand to accept their migrant labourers into the state.
Maharashtra State Government is doing all possible way for the migrants to reach their home town. Malik said, “Today Police Officers along with Railway authorities held a video conference where they discuss the plan for processing the migrants to their town. The meet includes migrants from major states like Bihar, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh. Soon trains shall release to help migrants reach their state soon, “Malik stated.
