Ahead of the Maharashtra Assembly elections, the Eknath Shinde-led government has launched the ‘Ladka Bhau Yojana’, a Rs 5,500 crore internship scheme for unemployed youth. Modelled after the ‘Ladki Bahini Yojana’, it aims to provide financial support and empowerment similar to schemes for young women. Eknath Shinde announced details at a public event in Pandharpur, specifying monthly stipends of Rs 6,000 for Class 12 graduates, Rs 8,000 for ITI and diploma holders, and Rs 12,000 for graduates.
