Mamata Banerjee has crossed all limits: Sushma Swaraj

New Delhi | Union Minister Sushma Swaraj has attacked TMC Chief Mamata Banerjee and accused her of ‘crossing all limits’, in the verbal battle of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Banerjee.

She wrote on the microblogging site Twitter, in Hindi “Today you have crossed all the blessings. You are the Chief Minister of the state and Modi Ji is the prime ministers of the country. Tomorrow you have to talk to them”.

Swaraj had further tweeted a saying by Bashir Badr,” Maintain the enmity however you want, but don’t be ashamed when we become friends”.

Sushma Swaraj’s remark follows the TMC leader’s speech at a rally where she had said that she would like to give PM Modi “a tight slap of democracy”.

Banerjee had said,” Money doesn’t matter to me. That is why when Narendra Modi came to Bengal and accused my party of being tolabaaz, I wanted to give him a tight slap of democracy”.

She also said that the prime minister should make public “how much money he earned from demonetisation”.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had earlier accused the party of being a ‘tolabaaz’.

“Tolabaaz” is a Bengali term to describe organised extortion.
