Srinagar: Mobile phones began buzzing in Kashmir valley as the Postpaid mobile services restarted in Kashmir. The service was restored almost 72 days after the Modi govt imposed the communication blockade on the state. On August 5, the government announced its decision to abrogate Article 370-Jammu and Kashmir’s special status.
The decision to resume the services was taken after analyzing the situation in the valley. Today landlines, mobile, cable TV, have been restored after a long period of time.

“All postpaid mobile services, irrespective of the telecom operator will stand restored and be functional from 12 noon. This will cover all 10 districts of Kashmir province especially valley area as it was completely shut down, “official communication said.
