New Delhi | Delhi Congress unit chief Sheila Dikshit today sparked controversy when she admitted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is tougher in dealing with terrorism compared to former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
Speaking to a news channel about the response of the UPA government during the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack, Dikshit said, āIt has to be agreed that Manmohan Singh was not as strong in dealing with terrorism as the current prime minister is.ā
According to media reports the then UPA government under Manmohan Singh was against any sort of military retaliation after the November 2008 Mumbai terrorist attack where over 150 people were killed at various places including Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus and Taj hotel on November 26, 2008.
The former UPA government was of the belief that any sort of Military confrontation with the neighbouring countries would produce any kind of reduction of cross border terrorism or resolution of political disputes.
