Patna | Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is likely to reshuffle and expand its cabinet after the Durga Puja, claims reports.
The Janta Dal-United (JDU) government, in order to focus on the votes of scheduled caste voter in Bihar, will be provident a ministerial position in leaders like Shyam Razak and for former Bihar Congress president Ashok Chowdhary. The Nitish Kumar led party wants to appease the members seeing a strained relationship over the murkiness raging in before the Lok Sabha elections.
Along with Razak and Chowdhary, election strategist Prashant Kishor who recently joined the party will also be getting a position in the cabinet expansion. Kishor was recently appointed the National Vice President of JDU. The reports of the cabinet expansion have come after Nitish Kumar in the party’s state executive meeting said that the state cabinet would be expanded after Dussehra.
Kishor is credited for Narendra Modi’s landmark victory in the last 2014 Lok Sabha election. Later, he joined Nitish Kumar and helped him gain victory in the Bihar’s assembly elections. However, Kishor failed to repeat his success in the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly election when he joined the Samajwadi Party- Congress alliance trying to help Akhilesh Yadav and Rahul Gandhi to gain victory.
