Nitish Kumar To Sworn In As Bihar CM, Tejaswi Yadav To Be Deputy CM

Nitish Kumar To be bihar CM and Tejaswi yadav as Deputy CM
Nitish Kumar ended his alliance with the BJP over fears that Amit Shah wanted to split his party like in Maharashtra.

Mumbai: Nitish Kumar will be sworn in as Biharโ€™s chief minister at 2 pm today after quitting the BJP on Tuesday and announcing a new โ€˜Grand Allianceโ€™ which includes Tejashwi Yadav and other opposition parties with. Tejaswi Yadav will be the Deputy CM.

โ€œThe Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) consisting of seven parties and one independent will work closely together,โ€ Nitish Kumar said after his second meeting with the governor yesterday. In the first, he resigned as chief minister of the government formed by his party, the JDU, and the BJP.  Less than an hour later, he returned to the governor, accompanied by Tejashwi Yadav and other opposition leaders, to explain to him that they should be asked to form the next government based on their combined forces.

The BJP has accused Nitish Kumar of โ€œbetraying the mandate of the peopleโ€ by switching partners mid-term.

Nitish Kumar felt that Amit Shah was trying to replicate the Maharashtra model in Bihar and ended the BJP alliance to prevent it. Uddhav Thackeray was forced to resign as Chief Minister after Eknath Shinde, a senior leader of his party, Shiv Sena, launched a massive uprising alongside the BJP.

After a big upheaval in the politics of Bihar today, Nitish Kumar resigned from the post of Chief Minister. At the same time, he has separated JDU from NDA. Now it is expected that Nitish Kumar will form the government in Bihar with the grand alliance. Speaking on the change of power in neighboring state, SP President Akhilesh Yadav has given a statement. โ€œThis is a good start. On this day the slogan of โ€˜British Quit Indiaโ€™ was given and today the slogan of โ€˜BJP Bhagaoโ€™ is coming from Bihar. I think soon political parties and people of different states will stand against BJP,โ€ Akhilesh Yadav said.

At the same time, the BJP has called this decision of Nitish Kumar a betrayal. Bihar BJP Chief Sanjay Jaiswal said that, โ€˜We fought the 2020 elections together under NDA, the mandate was for JD-U and BJP, despite this we won more seats, Nitish Kumar was made CM. What happened today is a betrayal of the people of Bihar and the BJP.

Significantly, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has resigned from the post of Chief Minister. On Tuesday morning, all the meetings with the MPs, MLAs and MLCs of both the houses were held today. Everyoneโ€™s wish was that we should leave NDA. So as everyone wished, we accepted the same and submitted the resignation from the post which was the Chief Minister in the NDA government.
