“No Documents Will Be Asked In NPR”: Amit Shah Clarifies In Rajya Sabha

Amit Shah said, ” If the citizens don’t have required information, they can leave the column blank. There is no need to fear NPR.”

 

New Delhi| A day after replying the blistering questions of the opposition MPs in Lok Sabha, Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday answered the questions raised by Rajya Sabha MPs. The opposition MPs have been demanding the debate on Delhi Riots since the beginning of the Budget Session of the parliament. However, the government had said that it will answer the questions after Holi.

Replying to query regarding NPR, Amit Shah said that the citizens do not need to submit any document as proof. He also said that there will not be any D-list i.e. Doubtful Citizen list.

He said, ” If the citizens don’t have required information, they can leave the column blank. There is no need to fear NPR.”

His reply comes as several states have passed a resolution against CAA/NRC/ NPR.
