Patna | Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off NDA’s election campaign in Bihar by addressing two rallies today, in Jamui and Gaya.
PM Modi is supposed to land in Gaya by 2 PM today, will go by helicopter to Jamui.
Both Jamui and Gaya seats are going to polling in the first phase on April 11 along with Nawada and Aurangabad (Bihar)
He will address a rally in Jamui in favour of Chirag Paswan, son of Ram Vilas Paswan, chief of Lok Janshakti Party(LJP). Chirag Paswan is seeking re-election from Jamui.
In Gaya, Modi will seek votes for JD(U) candidate Vijay Kumar Manjhi.
Modi will share the stage in Gaya with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Union minister Ram Vilas Paswan and Deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi, among others. This will be CM Nitish Kumar’s first election rally of this year’s Lok Sabha elections.
With a total of 40 Lok Sabha seats, Bihar is considered politically important for the NDA to return to power.
Due to Maoist disturbances, heavy security is expected.
