New Delhi: On Thursday Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be attending several programs apart from addressing the Indian Science Congress during his two-day visit to Karnataka on 2nd and 3 January.
On his first day of visit to BJP ruled state, PM Narendra Modi will visit the Sree Siddaganga Mutt in Tumakuru. In public meeting at Tumakuru, PM Modi will distribute Krishi Karman Awards and Commendation Awards to different states, a comment by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) read.
Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Tuesday visited Tumakuru and held a meeting with officials to discuss the arrangements of the prime minister’s visit.
Earlier BS Yediyurappa, speaking to media, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach Siddaganga Math at 2.15 pm where he will pay his obeisance to the seer. PM Modi will be in the town till 5.30 pm.
PM Narendra Modi will also give away the Agriculture Minister’s Krishi Karman Awards for Progressive Farmers. The event will also observe the release of the third installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, which will benefit around six crore beneficiaries.

He will dedicate five DRDO Young Scientists Laboratories to the nation in Bengaluru in an uplifting to indigenous research capabilities in the defense sector.
On Friday the Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 107th Indian Science Congress at the Gandhi Krishi Vignana Kendra Campus at the University of Agricultural Sciences in Bengaluru, before returning to New Delhi in the afternoon.
