Posters demanding “Aaditya Thackeray future CM” put up across Worli

Aaditya Thackeray won from Worli by 67 thousand votes. He defeated Suresh Mane of NCP by a margin of 67,427 votes.

Mumbai| It has been just a day since the results of the Maharashtra Assembly Elections were announced. What can be called as the most looked after assembly seat, Worli saw Aaditya Thackeray emerging victorious. He is the first in the Thackeray family to contest the elections. However, during campaigning, he was also projected as Sena’s Chief ministerial face. Later, when BJP-Shivsena sealed the alliance, Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray dismissed any talks of making him the CM or deputy CM.

However, posters have come up in his constituency Worli demanding “Aaditya Thackeray for CM”. Aaditya Thackeray won from Worli by 67 thousand votes. He defeated Suresh Mane of NCP by a margin of 67,427 votes. Earlier, the Shivsena targeted the BJP, which was less than expected in the elections, saying that there is no grand mandate in the state and that the result is actually a lesson for those who were steeped in the pride of power.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis visited more than 200 constituencies out of a total of 288 during the Mahajanadesh Yatra before the October 21 polls. Fadnavis claimed that the alliance will win more than 200 seats.

Shivsena, in its mouthpiece Saamna, said that this mandate rejected the notion that big victory could be achieved by changing the party and putting a dent in the opposition parties. NCP and Congress have performed better in the elections than ever before. Analyzing the results in the editorial said that the results show that the opposition can not be eliminated in politics.
