Prajwal Revanna Case: MEA Initiates Action On Canceling Diplomatic Passport

India’s Ministry of External Affairs said on Thursday it has initiated action on revoking the diplomatic passport of suspended JDS MP Prajwal Revanna.  Earlier, MEA had issued a show cause notice to Revanna. The grandson of former Prime Minister HD Devegowda, Prajwal Revanna fled to Germany last month after allegations of sexual assault surfaced against him. Revanna is expected to reach Bengaluru today from Munich.

At least 21 people were killed and 50 injured after a bus fell into a gorge on the Jammu-Poonch Highway today. Officials say a rescue operation is underway. The injured have been shifted to the Akhnoor hospital. The bus was coming from Uttar Pradesh’s Hathras. India’s President Droupadi Murmu condoled the loss of lives in the accident.
