BJP government looking to capture votes of scheme beneficiaries in Rajasthan assembly election

Jaipur | The ruling Vasundhara Raje led BJP government in Rajasthan is looking to capture the votes of the people benefited by the government schemes and missions ahead of the assembly elections in the state.

The state BJP has already identified 50 lakh people benefited by the welfare scheme of governemnt, said State Chief Madan Lal Saini. He further added that party workers will light up kamal diya (lotus lamps) at the houses of the beneficiaries simultaneously on October 21. “This will spread government in the vicinity of the beneficiaries. We will form teams at the booth level to carry out this activity”, he said.

This step from the state BJP comes after the BJP National president Amit Shah asked the party workers to interact with the voters and establish direct with the voters and promote the work done by the government. Speaking on parties plan, a senior BJP leader said,” District-level workers will be asked to target beneficiaries of various schemes such as loan waiver, crop insurance, crop insurance, concession in educational fee and also those who got government jobs during this regime.”

BJP also wants to counter the door-to-door campaign initiated by the Congress on October 2 to raise funds and address people about government’s failure. Assembly elections will be conducted in the state of Rajasthan along with Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh at the year-end
